How long does my prescription last?

The length of your prescription will depend on the type of prescription (which medication), the expected outcomes and the safety of your prescription.

Refills and prescription lengths are chosen by your doctor to ensure safe and accurate prescriptions.

When your prescription runs out, you need to have a follow up appointment with your ND to review your progress, your lab work (if necessary) and for your doctor to make a decision about renewing the prescription.

Patients cannot contact the pharmacy directly for prescription refills when your prescription has formally run out. If your prescription has ended, contact the office to set up an appointment with your ND.
